A sound built on good feeling.
Laurentius is Lars Jacob Beerda, a producer, songwriter and DJ from Zwolle in the Netherlands. Since 2014 he has turned exotic sounds and catchy melodies into his signature sound of Tropical, Latin and Afro house, all carried by his vision: Smile More. Away from his own releases he writes and produces for major artists, with credits amounting to hundreds of millions of streams.
That vision has taken him from a bedroom setup to Spotify's Top 50 charts and a Music Award nomination. Early in 2025 he wrote Can You Hear Me with fellow Dutch artist KULI, the official anthem for the World Health Organization's World Hearing Day, supporting hearing health through Stichting Oorfonds.
